Bridgepoint Health
Bridgepoint Health
The new 10-storey hospital is approximately 680,000 square-feet in size and includes: independent living space for patients; increased ambulatory space for outpatient / community programming; natural light in patient care areas and spectacular views of the city.
Diamond Schmitt Architects lead the DBFM team for the new Bridgepoint Hospital which will replace the existing facility located on the corner of Broadview Avenue and Gerrard Street East in Toronto’s vibrant Riverdale community. The historic Don Jail is to be preserved and restored into a centre for administrative and support services.
The hospital is designed with environmentally responsible and sustainable features and is registered under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.
