Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Redevelopment
Alberta Infrastructure
Diamond Schmitt provided functional program validation as well as full architectural services for 300,000 gross square feet of new and renovated hospital programs.
Program space includes a new address for ambulatory care collocating all outpatient services; new surgical suite and day surgeries; expanded and improved perinatal services; emergency department and EMS station expansion; as well as new or renovated areas for imaging, pharmacy, and support and administrative functions.
The clinical redevelopment will address deficiencies in capacity, current space and infection control standards, and infrastructure, and is planned for service capacity and flexibility over the next 20-25 years.
The project is targeting LEED Silver certification and will be realized through Construction Management delivery.
