
Ana Maria Llanos
Biography
Ms. Llanos received a Master of Architecture from the University of British Columbia in 1995. Prior to entering the Architecture Program, she studied Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia, and Architecture at Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru. Ms. Llanos is a LEED accredited professional with a diverse range of project experience in both size and type, including institutional, health care facilities, performing arts, residential, commercial, restoration and academic projects.
Since joining Diamond Schmitt Architects, Ana Maria has been the Project Architect for the Chemical and Biological Engineering Facility at the University of British Columbia. She has also been Project Manager for the Banff Centre Campus Redevelopment in Banff, Alberta. This project comprises the Sally Borden Building, the Kinnear Centre for Creativity and Innovation, new infrastructure upgrade and landscape master plan implementation.
Currently, she is working on the Residence of Heart Lake Town Centre project in Brampton. The project involves the master plan for a 10-acre site and the implementation of the first phase of the project. Phase 1 includes two 20-storey residential buildings, a two-storey amenity building, two underground parking levels, and extensive landscaped areas overlooking Loafer’s Lake.
