
Michael Treacy
Biography
After graduating from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Michael joined the legion of Australians travelling the world before receiving a Bachelor of Architecture degree at McGill University in 1994.
Since joining Diamond Schmitt Architects in 2001, he has played an integral role in most of the Performing Arts projects undertaken by the firm. This involvement has included key responsibilities on the award-winning Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto and the Mariinsky Theatre underway in St. Petersburg, Russia. Currently, Michael is the project architect responsible for the St. Catharines Performing Arts Centre.
Michael is highly regarded for his ability to manage complex public projects while ensuring the integrity of the design is maintained and that the client's objectives are exceeded. In addition to his work in the Performing Arts sector, Michael has been responsible for the renovation of the Museum Station on the Toronto subway, the design for a new Student Services Building at the University of Western Ontario and the Master Plan for the Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta.
